Domestic dispute that blocked traffic was not first for Atlantic City couple

  • News
A domestic dispute that blocked off an Atlantic City street for more than an hour Thursday was not the first time the couple was accused of attacking each other, records show. Amirah Black, 19, is wanted on charges of aggravated assault and weapons offenses after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the hand during a fight in their home on North Delancy Place. Black called police at 10:22 a.m.,
.saying her boyfriend had assaulted her, and that he had guns in the home, according to the report. She then left the area before police arrived. It took negotiator Detective Lonell Jones about 50 minutes to talk Clifton Holley, 32, into surrendering. That's when police saw Holley had a stab wound to his hand, and he told them Black did it. But this wasn't the first time Black allegedly used a knife on Holley. In March, police were called to the same home, and found the couple each with a stab wound. At the time, police said the couple was arguing when Black ran to the kitchen and got a knife, then stabbed Holley in the shoulder. He then wrestled the knife from her, and stabbed Black in the leg. Both were treated at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus, and then jailed. Holley and Black both were charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, police said. Both were sent to the Atlantic County jail on $15,000 bail. Now, Holley is back in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $100,000 bail with charges including obstruction of justice and weapons offenses. Black is being sought on charges of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. On a since-deleted Facebook comment, she said "I'm not hiding & I do what I please." She also shared a post from this page about the incident, that included here picture. "Why are y'all riding me?" she wrote with the post. "I'm not a horse or no (expletive). Hope (sic) off the band wagon." That post also has since been deleted. Black remains wanted. Anyone with information on her whereabouts or about this incident is asked to call the Atlantic City police at 609-347-5766. Information can be texted anonymously to TIP411 (847411), beginning the text with ACPD.
