Absecon man arrested after heroin, gun found during EHT car stop

An Absecon man was arrested Saturday morning, after he was found with drugs and a loaded handgun during a car stop, police said.
Nasir Crippen, 18, was a passenger in the car that was stopped by Egg Harbor Township Police Officer Joseph Griffiths for motor vehicle violations on Doughty Road at about 10 a.m., Lt. Robert Gray said.
During the investigation, police found Crippen had 40 wax folds of heroin and a loaded handgun, according to the report.
He was charged with possession, possession with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a handgun, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and possession of a weapon while committing a drug offense.
Crippen was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
