Police have identified the two people involved in a Pleasantville crash that severely injured a bicyclist Monday.
John Oriente, 62, of Somers Point was struck in the area of Bayview Avenue and Main Street after 2 p.m. by a car heading south driven by Stephen Goldstein, 52, of Northfield, Capt. Matt Hartman said.
Oriente was still hospitalized Tuesday with severe injuries, Hartman said.
Goldstein was not at fault and received no summonses, Hartman said. A summons is pending against Oriente, who was not wearing a helmet, crossed improperly and failed to yield to oncoming traffic.
