Two teens arrested for throwing rocks at cars, injuring two people

  • News
Two teens were arrested for allegedly throwing rocks that struck 10 cars and injured two people on the Atlantic City Expressway. The boy and girl — both 14 —threw large rocks onto the highway from July 9 through Aug. 23 from Kali Drive in Winslow Township, a six-week investigation by State Police found. Witnesses saw the teens gathering rocks in that area Friday, police said. Winslow Township police along with State Police and detectives came to the area and arrested the teens. They were interviewed at the Atlantic City Expressway Barracks in front of their parents, and confessed to throwing rocks, police said. All of the vehicles had smashed windshields. Both teens were charged with 10 counts each of criminal mischief, along with nine counts each of interference with transportation, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon, and two counts of aggravated assault. They were taken to the Camden County Juvenile Detention Center with a pending court date.
