A Linwood man who admitted to having 208 files showing the sexual exploitation of children while under federal supervision for a similar crime was sentenced to five years in prison Friday.
Brian Posner, 32, was arrested in October for sharing the images of underage girls as young as newborn engaged in sexual acts.
Posner previously served 38 months of a 60-month federal sentence after they found videos and images of child pornography on his computer of girls as young as 7 during an investigation in Ithaca, N.Y.
That investigation happened after Posner admitted to getting naked inside a YMCA locker room, admitting “he went into the Lansing YMCA with the intent of doing something inappropriate for the means of self-gratification,” FBI Special Agent James Lyons Jr. wrote in the complaint.
He “entered multiple showers where girls under 13 years of age were showering,” Lyons wrote.
Posner also admitted to inappropriately touching “a minor child in the Ithaca, New York area, and a minor child in New Jersey,” according to Lyons.
He was released on 10 years of supervision in 2012. He was also required to register as a Megan’s Law offender, but there was no record of him doing that in New Jersey at the time of his arrest last year.
I just want to say to my family that I apologies for any difficulties I placed upon you,” Posner said, turning to three family members sitting in court for him. “And I guess that’s all.”
He must serve the entire five years before he is eligible for parole under the plea agreement. He has credit for almost a year in jail.
Posner agreed to lifetime supervised release and must register under Megan’s Law.
