An earthquake about eight miles outside Dover, Delaware, was felt in Atlantic County on Thursday evening.
Reports from residents in Atlantic City, Margate, Ventnor and Egg Harbor Township confirmed that the 4:47 p.m. earthquake's effects hit the area.
The U.S. Geological Survey registered it as a magnitude 4.4.
