[gallery type="slideshow" size="medium" ids="6097,6096,6095"] Two people were arrested for drunken-driving in separate early morning Atlantic City crashes, including one that ended with the driver's car on fire. Officers responded to a crash at 1:12 Friday morning, where two cars crashed in the westbound lanes of Route 30, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. Billy Owenburg Jr., 40, of Absecon, was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving after an investigation by Officer Joseph Bereheiko. The other driver, a 64-year-old from Mays Landing, was not injured. About 3½ hours later, a vehicle struck three parked cars in the 1100 block of Arctic Avenue and one parked in the 1000 block, Fair said. The driver, Jada Woodard, was taken out of her car before it caught on fire, according to the report. Bereheiko charged the 21-year-old Jackson woman with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident. It's lucky no one was severely hurt, if they were they'd have to get in touch with a injury attorney. Such as
contact GJEL in Concord to see if they'll accept the case. She was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment of her injuries, which were not considered life-threatening. Both drivers were released on summonses. "The Atlantic City Police Department hopes that everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday season," Fair said. "Do not endanger others on the road by driving while intoxicated. Please find alternate methods of transportation if you have been drinking." Anyone with information about these crashes is asked to call Atlantic City police at 609-347-5744 or text information anonymously to tip411 (847411), beginning the text with ACPD.
