Sister Jean’s needs help after food stolen

Sister Jean's Kitchen is looking for help after food was stolen from the building overnight Tuesday.
"It’s devastating to us that, when you are trying to help people in need, someone does this," wrote volunteer Tracy Allen on a GoFundMe page set up to help replace the food and supplies lost.
Atlantic City police are investigating.
Jean Webster, who died just before her 76th birthday in 2011, started the kitchen more than two decades ago. She had been a casino chef and started feeding the city's hungry and homeless.
The kitchen provides hundreds of meals a day with an all-volunteer staff at the First Presbyterian Church in Atlantic City.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 609-347-5766 or Crime Stoppers at 609-652-1234. Information may also be texted anonymously to tip411 (847411) beginning the text with ACPD.
