Atlantic City man charged with sex crimes against a child

An Atlantic City man is charged with multiple sex crimes against a child.
Santos Torres, 76, was arrested by detectives from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and Atlantic City police.
He is charged with second-degree sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a minor, criminal sexual contact and committing an act of sexual penetration by a diseased person
Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner announced Wednesday.
The investigation was led by Detective Daniel Choe and Sgt. Carlton Durham of the SVU.
Torres is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility awaiting a detention hearing.
