Family displaced by Pleasantville fire

  • News
A Pleasantville fire displaced a family of five Tuesday morning. Firefighters were called to a two-story home on the 100 block of Maple Avenue in Pleasantville. Pleasantville and the Atlantic City International Airport fire departments responded. Absecon firefighters were also on scene. The fire was under control by 10 a.m. Tisha Ellis and her three children were home at the time, but escaped without injury. Her girlfriend was at work at the time. There were no injuries but the five lost most of their belongings, said friend Tia Allen, who is trying to help gather enough for the family to get by. https://www.facebook.com/tia.allen.315/posts/10156716692504766?__xts__[0]=68.ARBczoHGfs_Ge7kA__4s6dLZJo9CW3M3xP9MQTUzncOTB1p0KVgBzdFbgigNdyBezffI-OCWynNxT--M_8feQ6IiLEP1L2lgbq8QLjVz-nhKIrlI-dpkLQ1ho7lH3fmuEliSYtQ&__tn__=H-R With school starting, the children need clothes and school supplies. Ellis' daughters are sizes 10-12 and 12-14, with 3½ and 4 in shoes, Allen said. Her son is size 10-12. His shoe size is 4. Anyone willing to donate belongings can drop them off at 2305 Murray Ave., Apartment 12 in Atlantic City.
