Man arrested in fatal daylight shooting of Atlantic City teen

An Atlantic City man who just got out of prison in June has been charged in the killing of a teen last week.
Rahsaad Norwood, 21, is jailed on charges of murder and weapons offenses in the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old Thursday,  Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said.
The shooting happened before noon just a block from City Hall.
“This was a senseless crime committed in broad daylight,” Tyner said. “A 21-year-old killing a 17-year-old has cost society two lives. The loss of human capital from unnecessary gun violence should have everyone in our community outraged.”
Norwood will have a first appearance in Atlantic County Superior Court on Monday. A detention hearing will be scheduled for later in the week.
He previously served two years and nine months on an aggravated assault charge from 2014, three months before he turned 17, Department of Corrections records show. He was released from a halfway house June 22.
