Pleasantville police are investigating an early morning shooting.
A man was shot sometime before 4 a.m. Sunday, Capt. Matt Hartman said.
A preliminary investigation found evidence of the shooting in the 1500 block of Garfield Avenue, Hartman said.
The victim then ran to a residence in the 1400 block of McClellan Avenue, and asked the resident to call police, according to the report.
He was taken to the Trauma Unit at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City with a gunshot wound to the back.
