Pedestrian struck and killed on Atlantic City Expressway identified

No charges have been filed yet in a crash that killed a pedestrian on the Atlantic City Expressway. Walter Otero, 45, of Mullica Hill, was struck at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday around milepost 5.8 eastbound, State Police said. Michael Kutsmeda, 51, of Yardley, Pa., was driving a GMC Yukon, and left the scene after striking Otero, according to the report. He was found a short time later and taken into custody. The case remains under investigation, as is why Otero was on foot, Trooper Alejandro Goez said.
