Pleasantville police officer injured in crash with parked car

A Pleasantville police officer suffered a head injury after he struck a parked car while investigating a suspicious vehicle Thursday night. Officer Daniel Davis was on Linden Avenue just north of Brighton Avenue when his patrol car struck an unoccupied car parked on the west side of Linden Avenue just before 9 p.m., Capt. Matt Hartman said. Davis was taken by TriCare EMS to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment. Both vehicles suffered moderate front-end damage, Hartman said. The patrol vehicle was towed from the scene. Pleasantville Fire/Rescue personnel also responded to the scene to assist. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
