Teen shot in Atlantic City has died


A teen shot in daylight shooting in an Atlantic City complex has died.
Friends and family confirmed the teen’s death to BreakingAC. 
Michael Shaheed McLaughlin, 17, was shot before noon Thursday at the Carolina Village Apartments not far from City Hall.
His name was not released by authorities but his family confirmed it to BreakingAC.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded at 1 p.m. Their detectives take lead in all homicide investigations in the county. But in announcing their involvement Thursday, the office said that the teen remained hospitalized at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus.

An Atlantic City man who just got out of prison in June has been charged in the killing of a teen last week.
