Atlantic City K-9 tracks down teen driver who fled stolen car

Five teens were arrested Tuesday after they were found driving in a stolen car.
Atlantic City Sgt. Michael Arroyo saw the vehicle that was reported stolen at about 10:30 p.m, and pulled it over at Stenton and Atlantic avenues, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
But as the vehicle stopped, the 15-year-old driver jumped out and ran, according to the report.
Officers George Mancuso and Robert Reynolds chased him, but lost sight.
K-9 Officer Marinela Pali and her partner, Roxy, began a track from the abandoned vehicle, and tracked the teen to a fenced-in yard in the 2700 block of Monterrey Avenue, Fair said.
The teen surrendered at the sight of Roxy and was taken into custody without incident.
Arroyo and other officers took the four juveniles that stayed in the vehicle into custody. Three of the boys were later released into their parents.
The stolen vehicle was returned to the owner.
The 15-year-old driver from Atlantic City was charged with receiving stolen property and resisting arrest and was taken to the Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center.
Another 15-year-old from Atlantic City was charged with receiving stolen property and released to a parent.
