Vineland man fatally shot inside his home

A Vineland man was fatally shot inside his home Tuesday.
Walter Brown III, 32, was found shot inside the Oxford Street residence by police responding to a reported shooting at about 9 p.m., Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said.
He was taken to the Inspira Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation found that unknown subjects entered the home, and were confronted by Brown, Webb-McRae said. It was then that Brown was shot.
The suspects then fled.
The Vineland Police Department Detective Bureau and the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit are investigating.
