Absecon man dies of injuries sustained working on car in Walmart lot

An Absecon man injured while working on his car in a Walmart parking lot has died. Joseph McGowan, 44, was trying to fix his car at about 3:40 p.m. Tuesday while in the Egg Harbor Township lot when the car rolled of the jack and onto him. People in the area got him out from under the car before police arrived. He was treated at the scene by members of the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad

A Buena Vista Township man was found dead Monday morning after his car crashed into the Mullica River. An Egg Harbor Township man accused of killing the mother of his four children was indicted on murder and weapons charges in the killing.
