One killed, three wounded in Hamilton Township shooting

A Mays Landing man was killed and three others wounded in a shooting Sunday night in Hamilton Township. Police were called to the Brandywood Townhomes at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday for multiple gunshot victims, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said. Taufeeq Mitchell, 31, who grew up in Atlantic City’s Venice Park, was pronounced dead at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus. Mitchell leaves behind three biological children and two stepchildren. No other victims were identified.

Buena double homicide victims identified

Two people killed in a shooting in Buena Borough early Saturday morning, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said. The two have been identified as Damon Jones, 34, of Bridgeton, and Talisa Colon, 23, of Vineland. A 911 call made to police at 1:19 a.m. reported shots fired, and that someone may have been struck. Man wounded in Pleasantville shooting

Pleasantville police are investigating a shooting that wounded a 24-year-old Tuckerton man Friday afternoon. Marven Barreau, was shot while driving on Doughty Road at about 4 p.m., Capt. Matt Hartman said. He then crashed into a pole near Portland Avenue. Barreau suffered a gunshot wound to his left shoulder.
