Girl injured after running into road, hitting A.C. mayor’s car

A 7-year-old girl was injured when she ran into the road in Atlantic City and struck the mayor’s car, police said.
Officers responded to Route 30 in front of the HighGate Apartments at about 3:20 p.m. for the report of an accident involving Mayor Don Guardian, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
Guardian was heading west in his city-issued vehicle when the girl ran into the road and struck the rear passenger door of the car, according to the report.
The girl was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus with minor injuries. Guardian was not injured in the crash.
The mayor was not issued a summons as the accident was determined to be unavoidable, Fair said.
Officer Eric Wessler investigated.

    1. No, it means exactly what it says. The mayor was driving his car, she ran into the street and ran into it in the are of the back passenger side door. It’s not an unusual occurrence, actually.

    2. Kids run out in that area all tge time this is a first for me gear if them actually running into a vehicle I pray the child is fine and recovers
