A Pleasantville man was arrested after he allegedly ran from police and threw a handgun. Man shot in Pleasantville

A man was shot in the leg in Pleasantville on Saturday night. Police were called to the 400 block of Elm Avenue at about 9:45 p.m. for reports of shots fired. Then that a man was wounded, Capt. Pleasantville teen arrested after standoff with police

A 14-year-old boy was taken into custody Monday morning, after barricading himself into a home in Pleasantville. A call of shots fired brought police to the home on the first block of Somerset Avenue at about 3:45 a.m., Capt. Matt Hartman said. The teen surrendered to the Atlantic County SWAT team at 6:30 a.m. He faces several charges. A weapon has not yet been recovered.
