House, vehicles damaged in Pleasantville shooting

Pleasantville police are investigating after a home and several cars were damaged by gunfire overnight. Shots were heard in the 600 block of Adams Avenue just before 1:30 a.m., Capt. A former Pleasantville Housing Authority manager admitted this week that she stole money intended for tenants in Atlantic City. Cheryl Bradshaw, 60, of Atlantic City, was arrested in April on charges of official misconduct and theft by failure to make required disposition of property received. Pleasantville teen arrested after standoff with police

A 14-year-old boy was taken into custody Monday morning, after barricading himself into a home in Pleasantville. A call of shots fired brought police to the home on the first block of Somerset Avenue at about 3:45 a.m., Capt. Matt Hartman said. The teen surrendered to the Atlantic County SWAT team at 6:30 a.m. He faces several charges. A weapon has not yet been recovered.
