Multiple gunshots overnight in Atlantic City

Gunfire erupted twice overnight in Atlantic City. A vehicle was struck in the 900 block of Sewell Avenue at about 10:40 p.m., police said.  An alert from the city’s audio gunshot notification system ShotSpotter alerted police. Evidence of gunfire was found, Sgt. Kevin Fair said. Another ShotSpotter alert came in at 12:56 a.m. in the 1300 block of Caspian Avenue, Fair said. It counted more than a dozen shots. Man shot and killed in Atlantic City on Mother’s Day

A man was shot and killed in Atlantic City’s Back Maryland section Sunday afternoon, police said. Man wounded in Atlantic City shooting

Atlantic City police are investigating a shooting that wounded a 20-year-old Pleasantville man. The ShotSpotter gunshot audio-detection system alerted police to the 300 block of North Virginia Avenue at about 8:45 p.m. Quaheim Garner suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, and was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus. An 18-year-old man has been arrested for shooting at three juveniles in October, injuring one. Officers found a 17-year-old boy wounded at about 1:50 a.m. Oct. 12, after being called to the 1300 block of Caspian Avenue for reports of a man down.
