Atlantic City police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who stole an officer's phone while she was chasing a suspect.
Officer Leah Giercyk lost the phone when she was knocked to the ground by a suspect who fled Saturday.
She and Officer Juliann Schwenger were able to chase down Thomas Wallace with the help of other officers, and
he was arrested with a variety of drugs, including more than 600 bags of heroin.
An unknown man picked up Giercyk's phone and did not return it to one of several officers in the area, Sgt. Kevin Fair said.
The man's photo was released.
