A Millville man was seriously injured when his car went into oncoming traffic on Route 40 in Hamilton Township on Tuesday.
Jihad Ali was traveling east when his blue Ford Escord crossed the center painted median into the westbound lane, police said.
Ali's car collided with a white Nissan Exterminator truck driven by Louis Vallies, of Elmer.
Ali was seriously injured and taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus. Vallies had minor injuries and refused to go the hospital.
The Mays Landing and Laureldale fire departments assisted at the scene. Traffic traveling west on Route 40 was diverted for about an hour.
Charges are pending further investigation.
