Photos show car involved in youth football coach's killing

New photos of a car allegedly used to flee the killing of a Millville youth football coach have been released. Joseph L. Jones, 37, was in the parking lot of the Lakeside Middle School in Millville school when a masked suspect or suspects shot him Aug. 9, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae previously said. A grainy photo of the maroon sedan the suspect or suspects were seen fleeing in was released a that week. Now, new photos showing a burgandy/maroon four-door Pontiac Grand Prix have been released, with a call for the public's help. The car is believed to be a 1997 to 2003 model. The tags, ZJ7-61H were fictitious and used at the time of the incident, Webb-McRae said. "We are committed to bringing those who perpetrated this terrible crime — with no regard for our children, the traveling public or our police officers — to justice," she said. "We are developing many promising leads and need the public's assistance to apprehend those responsible and see that justice is served." Anyone with information is asked to call Prosecutor's Office Lt. George Chopek at 609-381-2046.
