Second fiery crash in two days on Route 30 in Atlantic City

  • News

Firefighters were on the scene of a two-vehicle crash that ended with a car burned out and a truck on its side Sunday morning.
The crash happened on Route 30 heading west.
A BMW hit a light post, flipped over and caught on fire, Fire Chief Scott Evans said.
A pickup truck ended up on its side in the marsh.
Evans was trying to get information on the number and extent of injuries.
It was the second fiery crash on Route 30 in Atlantic City in as many days.
Police officers, an EMT and two fishermen helped rescue an unconscious man from his engulfed car early Saturday morning on Route 30 eastbound. The rescued driver and driver of another vehicle involved were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus.
A one-car crash in the city Friday morning also ended in flames.
Five people were able to escape that car after it crashed in the 800 block of Mediterranean Avenue in the crash allegedly caused by a drunk driver. The driver and four passengers were able to escape the car, but did suffer injuries.

This story is developing. Check back for updates.
