A Hammonton woman was killed when her vehicle was struck by a NJ Transit train Thursday afternoon.
Dorothy Burkett, 26, died in the 3:20 p.m. crash, NJ Transit spokeswoman Kate Thompson said.
It was not clear why Burkett's vehicle was on the tracks.
The Atlantic City Rail Line train left Atlantic City at 2:40 p.m., and was to arrive in Philadelphia at 4:21 p.m.
There were no injuries to the 23 customers and crew on board at the time.
NJ Transit police are leading the investigation.
