Atlantic City man boasted he 'pissed' in Pelosi's office during U.S. Capitol riot, feds say

  • News

An Atlantic City man bragged of urinating in Nancy Pelosi’s office and making history in Facebook posts from the U.S. Capitol during last month’s riot.
“We the people tried to take our house back now they will blame it on Trump,” James Douglas Rahm allegedly wrote in one Facebook post Jan. 6.
Rahm, 61, was arrested earlier this month and his Penrose Avenue home searched as part of the investigation.
Rahm, who goes by Doug, kept his friends up to date on his whereabouts in Washington, D.C., Facebook posts that included photos and video, according to the complaint released this week.
“We’re in. We’re taking our f---ing house back,” a voice identified as Rahm is heard saying in one video. “We’re here. Time to find some brass and kick some frickin’ ass."
Rahm tried to scrub those posts from his social media, the complaint says. But some of those who saw them had already shared screenshots with investigators.
“Were you there Doug?” one user asked in a comment.
“Yes do not believe the media,” he replied. “There were no anarchist no antifa just patriots trying to take our country back. Yes I was there the pepper spray is just wearing off…”
Photos of his face were also posted.

“Get back inside. Give Pelosi a kiss,” another Facebook friend wrote.
“Pissed in her office,” he replied.
At least three people tipped off authorities about Rahm, including one who has known him for more than a decade, according to the filing.
“Doug are you okay? Are you safe?”
He replied that “…riot shields and pepper spray never hurt anyone did they?”
“Home alive. History made,” Rahm continued. “I walked through Pelosi’s office I should have sh-- on her chair.”
Using pictures of Rahm showing what he was wearing that day, investigators were able to find him on closed-circuit television footage, the complaint explained.

He is seen exiting the building through the Rotunda doors at about 2:52 p.m.
The identification was based on his “distinct clothing” that included a gray knitted winter hat, a dark hooded sweatshirt inside of a green-and-black Harley Davidson motorcycle jacket, blue jeans and tan work shoes.
The facial features of the man in the video also matched photographs of Rahm outside, the complaint says.
He faces charges including illegally entering a restricted area, disorderly conduct and obstruction of Congress. The highest charge could carry a maximum sentence of 20 years.

Doug Rahm was identified on closed-circuit television wearing clothes he was pictured in outside.
