A woman showed no signs of injury when police were called to the Tropicana Atlantic City on July 31 for a domestic incident.
But later, security video showed recently retired NFL running back Frank Gore "forcibly gripping her by her hair and violently dragging" her naked along the floor in the hallway of the 59th floor of the Havana Tower, according to the affidavit of probable cause obtained by BreakingAC.
Gore, 39, was issued a summons for simple assault Saturday, six days after police were called to the scene.
He has a virtual court hearing set for Oct. 17 in Atlantic City Municipal Court.
Gore's listed counsel did not immediately respond to requests seeking comment.
Gore retired in June, finishing his career as the third all-time rusher, behind Emmitt Smith and Walter Payton.
