Galloway man arrested in hit-run that critically injured biker

Todd Battaglia A Galloway Township man was arrested after he allegedly fled a crash that critically injured a bicyclist last Friday. Glen Bott, 59, also of Galloway, was struck Oct. 21, on the westbound side of0 East Mill Road in Port Republic. Todd Battaglia, 43, was arrested after an investigation by State Police from the Tuckerton station and Troop C Criminal Investigation Office. Battaglia's 2015 Nissan Altima was found at an unnamed area auto body shop Sunday, according to State Police. A short time later, Battaglia was located and arrested without incident. Bott was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's Trauma Unit, where he remains in critical condition, police said. Battaglia is charged with aggravated assault and leaving the scene of an accident with serious injuries. He was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $25,000 full cash bail.
