A Pleasantville man out on bail in connection to a fatal shootout on the Atlantic City Expressway is back in jail on drug charges.
Wilbert Demosthenes, 25, was arrested in the 100 block of Willard Avenue after Pleasantville police found 47 grams of uncut drugs believed to be heroin and cocaine were found in a car he had.
He was charged with three counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, along with possession within a school zone.
Demosthenes is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $150,000 full cash bail. He had been released on $250,000 bail after he was arrested last month about two weeks after a shootout on the Atlantic City Expressway killed one man and injured four others.
Demosthenes left the area and was found in a Philadelphia hospital with a bullet wound to his right arm.
He was charged with various weapons offenses, including possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
