An Egg Harbor Township woman was charged with driving under the influence Tuesday, after she rear-ended another car, then struck a house.
Christie Adkins, 46, was driving east on Zion Road when she hit another car, then lost control and struck a home at the corner of Renee Driver, Lt. Robert Gray said.
There was major structurally damage to the home. The Bargaintown Volunteer Fire Company and Egg Harbor Township building inspector assisted at the scene.
Officer Pat Daly investigated the crash, and issued Adkins summonses for driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs, reckless driving, careless driving and failure to maintain her lane.
