Pleasantville hit-and-run leaves man in critical condition

  • News
Pleasantville police are investigating a hit and run that left a pedestrian in critical condition early Thursday morning. Willie Henderson was walking across the Black Horse Pike near the Good Year when he was struck by a white car that was headed west just after midnight, Capt. Frank Balles said. The car did not stop. Henderson, who is in his 50s, was taken to the Trauma Unit at AtantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City. His last known address was Somers Point. Police are in the process of obtaining video footage from surrounding homes and businesses to get a better description of the car, Balles said. They released one photo Friday from far away. The car would have a shattered driver’s side headlight, a shattered windshield and probably damage to the front end, hood and bumper, Balles said. Pieces of the headlight was on the ground. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 609-641-6100 or Crime Stoppers at 609-652-1234.
