Three people were displaced by a fire in Hamilton Township over the weekend.
First-responders arrived at the house in the 6300 block of Liberty Avenue at about 5:15 p.m. to find the home's residents trying to extinguish the fire with garden hoses, police said.
The fire caused damage to the ceiling and attic of the residence, police said. It is not believed to be suspicious.
Three residents were displaced from the home and will be assisted by the American Red Cross. No injuries were reported.
Fire companies from Mays Landing, Mizpah, Laureldale and Cologne, along with the the Township of Hamilton Rescue Squad assisted at the scene.
