Pleasantville police have cleared an unspecified threat made to the school district.
The social media threat passed on to Pleasantville by the FBI was unsubstantiated, Police Chief Sean Riggin said.
"While it's unfortunate we had to test out security measures and the timing isn't what we would want it to be, it was good to see our officers and school security staff were able to handle it quickly and effectively with minimal impact to operations," Riggin said.
There was no suspected link to the shooting at the Pleasantville High School playoff game this past weekend, he said.
