A Pleasantville teenager was fatally shot in town Tuesday night.
Police were called to the 300 block of Edgeley Avenue at 10:14 p.m., Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner said.
The Major Crimes Unit responded as well.
Byron Jones, 18, was located at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds.
An autopsy is scheduled to be completed Wednesday.
Jones leaves behind a daughter who turns 1 later this month.
The shooting happened just hours after an earlier incident in the city in which several vehicles and a residence were struck. There were no reported victims.
