Atlantic City police helped captured a man wanted for murder in North Carolina.
John Oiley Mitchell, 38, is accused of killing Tameka Minor last month.
Police were called to an intersection in Greensboro, N.C., Aug. 11, for a hit and run. There they found 39-year-old Minor had been shot.
The mother of two later died. It has been labeled a case of domestic violence.
Mitchell was wanted for shooting her multiple times and then running her over with a car.
Investigators received information Mitchell was hiding out in a residence on Massachusetts Avenue in Atlantic City, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
Detectives from the city's Special Investigations Section along with FBI agents conducted surveillance.
Mitchell was arrested Tuesday, with help from the city's SWAT team, after he came out of the home, according to the report.
Mitchell is in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending an extradition hearing.
