Four injured in one-car Egg Harbor Township crash

  • News

Four people were injured when a car struck a guardrail and rolled over several times Sunday afternoon.

Nikki Scirotto, 18, of Mount Ephraim, was heading south on Zion Road when she failed to negotiate the right turn onto Somers Point-Mays Landing Road, Lt. John Heim said.

Scirotto's 2004 Nissan Sentra struck the guardrail, causing the vehicle to overturn several times, according to the report.

There were three other teen girls in the vehicle, including a 15-year-old girl who was not restrained, Heim said. The other two girls were 17.

All four were taken to the hospital for moderate injuries, according to the report.

Zion at Somers Point-Mays Landing Road was closed for an hour and 20 minutes while the scene was investigated by Officers Nathan Lahr and Kevin Brady.

Motor vehicle summonses are pending.
