Fugitive arrested in fatal Atlantic City shooting

An Atlantic City man who has been wanted in a killing last year was arrested Wednesday morning.

Kenneth Creek, 48, was charged within days of the Aug. 25 killing of Jordan Eaddy.

Eaddy, 31, of Philadelphia, was found fatally shot just after midnight in the 1300 block of Baltic Avenue by officers responding to a ShotSpotter audio gunshot-detection alert.

He and Aaron Callahan were indicted Nov. 29 on charges including murder, conspiracy to commit murder and weapons offenses.

Creek has been wanted since a failure to appear in a terrorist threats case from last year, court records show.

Information released at his co-defendant's detention hearing indicated Creek was the shooter.

Callahan claimed he did not know that the gun he is allegedly seen handing Creek was going to be used to kill someone.

He “was very sincere in the fact that he had no idea that this is what was going to happen,” defense attorney Christina Naughton told the judge. “He is extremely remorseful for any conduct the he had done that would help come about this result.”

Naughton said her client was friends with the victim.

Details about where not released about where Creek was arrested. It was a join effort by the U.S. Marshals Service, Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office and Atlantic City police.

Eaddy was arrested in Absecon less than a week before he was killed. He was caught driving a vehicle reported stolen from Trenton. A Somers Point man was with him at the time.

Callahan remains jailed.
