A 15-year-old was arrested after Atlantic City police allegedly found a loaded handgun in his waistband Friday.

Officers Gissell Garcia and Syid Evans-White were in a convenience store in the 600 block of New York Avenue at 9:44 p.m., when they saw a gun in the teen's waistband, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
The handgun was loaded with hollow-point ammunition and had an extended magazine, according to the report.
The teen, whose name was not released due to his age, is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of hollow-point ammunition and possession of a large-capacity magazine.
He was taken to the Essex County Youth Facility.
