A two-vehicle crash resulted in injury to a child who was walking in the area, police said.
The crash happened about 12:30 p.m. Thursday, at the intersection of South Carolina and Adriatic avenues, Lt. Kevin Fair said.
One vehicle left the roadway, striking a 7-year-old city child, according to the report.
The juvenile was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Campus for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Both drivers were also taken to the hospital, Fair said.
Fire Chief Scott Evans, who was at the scene, said people nearby were able to get the child from under the vehicle before first-responders arrived.
