  • News

The annual Boat Show comes to the Atlantic City Convention Center this week, with plenty of activities, presentations and even seminars on fishing.

The Discover Boating Atlantic City Boat Show begins noon Wednesday and runs through Sunday, with tickets $18 online and $20 at the door. Children 12 and younger will be admitted free with an adult.

First-responders and military can attend the first day free. Bring your identification to Will Call to receive your complimentary ticket.

Things to see includes Twiggy the Water Skiing Squirrel.

The safe boating spokesanimal rides around her heated pool with a safety vest, jumping onto the boat whenever she's done with her tricks.

Shows are scheduled for 4 and 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday; noon, 2, 4 and 6 p.m. Saturday, and noon 2 and 4 p.m. Sunday.

There will be lots of how-to demonstrations from learning to cast, getting to experience paddlesports or asking an expert how to fix an issue that you may have.

Kids can make their own toy boat to take home as a souvenir.

Those seminars are scheduled for 3 and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

There will be a place to k8ick back and enjoy live music, island-inspired cocktails and mocktails, along with beach games including the second annual Cornhole Shootout.

A full scheduled of fishing seminars and their various focuses can be found HERE.

But you don't have to cast a line to have your picture taken with the big catch.

This year's big catch will be on hand for photo ops.

“Tiny Tuna” is a 10-foot tuna caught off the waters of Nova Scotia that weighed in at 1,000 pounds.

If you get a photo with the half-ton tuna, be sure to share and tag #tinytuna.
