A Cherry Hill teen was arrested last week month after Brigantine police stopped a vehicle reported stolen from Philadelphia.
Payton Tomasello, 19, and his 16-year-old passenger gave Officer Michael Waszen fake names and birthdates, according to the report.
An investigation led to their true identities.
The 16-year-old was found to be a missing teen from Trenton who had an active warrant, police said.
The juvenile was released to a guardian.
Tomasello was charged with receiving stolen property and hindering apprehension. He also was driving without a license, according to court records.
He was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on Dec. 23, but released six days later, records show.
