An Atlantic City man was sentenced to three years in prison Thursday in a 2021 case where was found with a BB gun and drugs.
Emmanuel Diaz, 43, previously pleaded guilty to third-degree possession of the gun.
He was arrested Jan. 2, 2021, after patrol officers saw him put what appeared to be a black handgun in his front pocket, according to the charges.
Police recovered the weapon, later determined to be a black plastic semi-automatic BB gun. He also had 20 wax envelopes confirmed to be heroin and fentanyl.
Diaz, whose first name is spelled Emanuel in the jail system, has been in the Atlantic County Justice Facility since a parole violation in May, records show.
He must serve at least a year before he is eligible for parole.
