The Atlantic County Animal Shelter is offering free adoptions of dogs and cats for the next week.
The normal adoption fees of $110 for dogs and $85 for cats will be waived beginning Saturday and running through July 12.
Adoptions are immediate with the pet ready to go home the same day.
All pets adopted from the shelter receive mandatory sterilization, age appropriate vaccinations, diagnostic testing, a microchip and free veterinary consultation. Canines adopted from the shelter are also provided free obedience classes.
The shelter is located at 240 Old Turnpike Road in Pleasantville.
It is open to the public from 1 to 4 p.m. each day. Appointments are not necessary.
