A dog was resuscitated after it was rescued from inside a burning home Thursday.
Police and firefighters responded to 1 Tudor St. on Thursday afternoon for a fire, Lt. Larry Graham said.
Patrol officers arrived to find the home fully engulfed, according to the report. All of the residents had evacuated.
Firefighters from Farmington, Cardiff, Bargaintown and Scullville responded, fighting the blaze for more than an hour, Graham said.
A dog was recovered from inside and was resuscitated by EMS on scene.
The owner took the dog to a local veterinary hospital to be treated.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but is believed to be accidental. The likely cause was an electric scooter plugged in on the front porch.
