A Burlington County man who fled a State Police stop on the Garden State Parkway was sentenced to four years in prison Friday.

Raekwon Davis, 27, of Pemberton, already is in prison serving two four-year sentences in separate Burlington County cases, state Department of Corrections records show.

Atlantic County Superior Court Judge Joseph Levin sentenced him to another four-year term Friday, for eluding police during a stop May 1, 2023.

Davis was seen going more than 100 mph on the Garden State Parkway, tailgating, failing to stay in his lane, weaving in and out of traffic without signaling and even passing other cars on the shoulder when State Police tried to stop him, according to the charges.

Davis slowed down to 20 mph and pulled on the shoulder at milepost 49 on the Mullica River bridge, when police put on their lights to stop him. But then he sped away, eventually turning onto Exit 48 and nearly spinning out of control, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

He has been in South Woods State Prison since Dec. 20, on a receiving stolen property conviction from 2023 and a forgery case from 2022. Both were out of Burlington County.

Davis' current parole eligibility before the latest sentence was April 20, 2026. His maximum release date is listed as Feb. 25, 2027.
