Two elderly Hammonton residents of long-term care facilities are the most recent Atlantic County deaths attributed to COVID-19.
Both had pre-existing conditions, health officials said.
The county also announced 64 people are listed as recovered bringing the total to 712 of the 1,950 cases.There have 130 deaths.
Of the 19 newly confirmed cases, there are seven men, ages 25 to 92 and 12 women, ages 20 to 89. Six of them reside in Hammonton and four in Atlantic City. Absecon and Northfield each have two additional cases while Brigantine, Folsom, Galloway Township, Pleasantville and Ventnor all have one new positive.
With today’s confirmations, there are now 1,950 county residents who have tested positive and 130 deaths. Sixty-four more residents have been cleared as recovered for a total of 712.
Testing will continue next week for symptomatic county residents with a doctor’s prescription. Testing is conducted Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. behind the Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing. Appointments can be made online at www.aclink.org.
Residents should come prepared with their doctor’s script, proof of residency such as a driver’s license or utility bill, and their appointment confirmation. Those who are unable to keep their appointments are asked to cancel so others may have an opportunity to be tested.
In the event of inclement weather (heavy rain and/or high winds) on a scheduled test date, residents with appointments should check the county website (www.aclink.org) for updates regarding postponement and rescheduling.
