No new deaths reported in county Thursday

Atlantic County confirmed 34 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, including a 4-year-old girl.But the county did not add to its death toll, which remains 156.Hammonton confirmed 15 additional cases, with five each in Atlantic City and Pleasantville. Egg Harbor Township had four new cases, while Absecon, Buena Borough, Galloway Township, Hamilton Township and Somers Point each had one.

The county also reported 38 additional residents have been cleared as recovered bringing that total to 834 of the 2,181 cases in the county.

Atlantic County will continue testing, but the location has moved to provide greater protection from the elements in the event of bad weather, officials said.The county test site is now in Northfield, behind the county's Public Works facility at Route 9 and Dolphin Avenue.The next testing dates will be from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.Residents must have symptoms, a prescription and an appointment.Appointments can be made on the county web site at www.aclink.org. Those who are unable to keep their appointments are asked to cancel so others may have an opportunity to be tested.
