An Atlantic City man admitted to gun and drug charges this week.

Nahjajuan Ellis, 23, was arrested last year, after a search of his home led to a stolen handgun and more than a half-ounce of packaged heroin and fentanyl.

Ellis pleaded guilty to first-degree maintaining a controlled dangerous substance production facility, and second-degree charges of possession of heroin and fentanyl with the intent to distribute and unlawful possession of a handgun.

He faces 10 years in prison with 3½ years of parole ineligibility under the Graves Act.

Atlantic City's Vice Unit searched Ellis' apartment Jan. 26, 2023, after arresting him as he came out of his front door.

In addition to the gun and drugs, police also found paraphernalia commonly used to package heroin and fentanyl for sale, including stampers, ink pads, scales and empty baggies. They also seized a total of $8,565 in cash as proceeds from drug sales.

Ellis also pleaded guilty to two counts of obstructing the administration of law and one count of possessing cocaine with the intent to distribute it, which wrapped up other unrelated cases.

He will receive concurrent prison terms on those charges.

Ellis will remain in the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending his sentencing, which is expected to happen in July.
